From Rejection to Restoration

Encounters with the Justice System

Some of those we serve have spent time in prison or have been involved with the legal system. They may carry the weight of past mistakes, along with the stigma and barriers that come after release. We don’t see their criminal record — we see their potential for renewal.

Struggles with Addiction or Dependency

Addiction can isolate and destroy, often rooted in deeper pain or trauma. Many are on a journey of recovery, wrestling with dependency while seeking freedom and stability. We meet them in their struggle, offering compassion instead of condemnation.

Separation from Family and Loved Ones

Whether due to conflict, abandonment, or loss, many have become estranged from their families. This disconnection leaves deep emotional wounds and a longing for belonging. We offer them a new sense of family through community and Christ-like love.

No. While we are a Christian-based charity, our services are open to anyone in need, regardless of their faith or background.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Christ the Shepherd is a registered Australian charity with benevolent status. Donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible.

Do you have a physical location?

Our outreach is community-based. We don’t publicly list our location for safety and privacy reasons, but you’re welcome to contact us to learn more or arrange a visit.
