Worship

We come to God offering our prayers, praise and thanksgiving.  And God comes to us nourishing us with His Word of love and forgiveness...of a whole new life.  We listen for God in the Scriptures, in the sermon, in the hymns, and as we gather at the altar each Sunday to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion, God's gift of forgiveness and peace.

Lay people have important leadership roles in our worship, serving as deacons, servers, lectors, acolytes and cantors.

Music is an integral part of our worship services, and we use several different liturgies ranging from Gospel to contemporary to traditional.  We're a diverse community, so when we choos hymns we try to learn to "sing one another's songs."  Our Chancel Choir sings from late September through late June.
